So dx/dt=-9LSinQ(dQ/dt)

to evaluate dQ/dt use:
y=LSinQ
dy/dt=v=LCosQ(dQ/dt)

So dx/dt=9LSinQ(v/LCosQ)...so, dx/dt=9v...

1)You write the coordinates of the point in question and those of the pts. whose velocities are given...relative to a fixed pt (the origin).

2)Differentiate these..

    because i assumed it to be constant and used average velocity concept , i m getting wrong answer

    time is L/v*root2
    horizontal distance moved by snake head is 9(L-L/root2)
