to evaluate dQ/dt use:
y=LSinQ
dy/dt=v=LCosQ(dQ/dt)
So dx/dt=9LSinQ(v/LCosQ)...so, dx/dt=9v...

horizontal distance moved by snake head is 9(L-L/root2)
ya..snake's velocity is surely changing with time..
