Find the resistance of the hollow frustum b/w the points P and Q..
Assume:
Resistivity=1;
Outer and inner radius of the left end = 2,1;
Of the right end=4,2;

ReplyDeleteSIR IS THE GIVEN BELOW EQUATION IS VALID IN GONG PROBLEM IF THERE IS IMPULSE ON THE HINGE AND IT IS NON ZERO... Newton's law abt. the hinge gives:

the eqn. is ALWAYS valid..
ReplyDeletehowever, the eqn. about the COM would have to be modified as the impulse at the hinge imparts an angular impulse abt the COM
so, you have done thermal resistance...
