I have three balls of masses 3m,4m and 2m of negligible dimensions; I want to generate heat using them and a collision;
These balls are kept on the rim of a fixed smooth hemispherical bowl and dropped at the same time; there is a collision at the bottom and i want maximum heat from it;
Specify the orientation of the balls;
Assume that they stick together after collision;

ReplyDeleteacc to me , the 2 balls of mass m must be kept together, and the ball of mass 2m should be kept opposite to them (i.e when their positions are joined, they form the diameter of hemisphere)
ReplyDeletebhaiya please stood in the link given below to help me http://www.imaginationcubed.com/loader.php?aDrawingID=05c34e9c064935175e7ff5d3fb54aac3&from_email=amritpal.goyal@gmail.com&from_name=AMRIT
ReplyDeleteplease post complete solution as bhaiya i know there is conservation of angular momentum and energy , but i still cant get the answer .I also know after collision there is also rotational kinetic energy.but bhaiya i still cat get the exact answer . so i need a help of you as this is an important problem.
ReplyDeleteakash you were right..i'm modifying the problem a bit..
ReplyDeletethis one was too trivial
why don't you tell me the answer amritpal;
ReplyDeletegetting very weird answer
ReplyDeletecosA=11/16
cosB=21/24
we A and B are angle made 2m and 3m with diameter passing thru 4m
i dint get the exact values ,but got a relation btw two angle
ReplyDeletecosA : cosB = 3:5
where A and B are angle made 2m and 3m with diameter passing thru 4m
A and B are angle made by 2m and 3m with diameter passing thru 4m
ReplyDeletecos A= 33/48
cos B= 21/24
drop the ball with mass 2m from 9'oclock, drop the ball with mass of 3m from about 6:30, and drop the ball with mass 4m from about 1:31.
ReplyDeleteI suppose this were set up with the dial of an analog clock around the rim
ReplyDeleteI am also getting same as 'akash' and 'gta'.
ReplyDeleteAmit look my answer ,after calculating it it become same as answer of akash rupela
