The beam (in black) supports a parabolic laminar sheet . The weight of the sheet is 200N. Assuming the beam to be massless, find the normal reactions from the two wedges.
@kunal i just find out com's x coordinate of the two lower extremes then x coordinate of com of first com and left most region which came to be there centre so after applying the definition of com yields the answer but lastly i am not convinced by my approach so please post ur attemt too.
150 N and 50 N
ReplyDeleteyes.. im getting the same..

ReplyDeletesame result normal reaction by the left wedge = 50 N, by the right wedge = 150 N
ReplyDeletesame ans
ReplyDeletefor finding center of mass of lamina i had to use some integration...
ReplyDeletei got the answer
..
is there any other way for it.....?????
